[PoE 3.28] How to Level Twinks FAST - IN DEPTH GUIDE - Path of Exile Tech

Summary

  • Utilize Spectral Throw combined with Prismatic Burst for the earliest levels (1-24).
  • Transition to Elemental Hit at level 24 for superior clear and boss damage.
  • Implement “The Traitor” keystone via Brutal Restraint for permanent flask uptime and massive movement speed.
  • Equip key unique items like Seven-League Step, Blackheart rings, Darkness Enthroned, and Mortem Morsu.
  • Focus on projectile speed, movement speed, and instant leech to maintain momentum through all ten acts.

Early Game Setup (Level 1–24)

Starting any class with Spectral Throw is the most efficient method. The initial damage is carried by Blackheart rings, which provide significant flat chaos damage to attacks.

Gem Links (Level 1):

Spectral Throw - Prismatic Burst - Momentum Support

Gem Links (Level 4–8): Add Volley Support at level 4 for better coverage. By level 8, expand the setup in a Tabula Rasa:

Spectral Throw - Added Cold Damage - Volley - Added Fire Damage - Added Lightning Damage - Faster Attacks

Note: Mana management is the primary bottleneck early on. Use multiple mana flasks until better utility is available.

Core Leveling Gear

  1. Amulet: Karui Ward (Level 5) for projectile speed, damage, and movement speed.
  2. Belt: Darkness Enthroned (Level 1) with two Abyss Jewels providing flat elemental damage (ensure they have no high level requirement).
  3. Boots: Seven-League Step for 50% movement speed. Replace with rare boots containing life if the build feels too squishy in later acts.
  4. Gloves: Flesh and Spirit (Level 15) for Soul Eating mechanics.
  5. Helmet: Goldrim for massive elemental resistances. A corrupted version with “regenerate life” is ideal for sustain.

The Traitor Flask Technique

To maintain high movement speed, use a Brutal Restraint (Balbala) jewel to acquire The Traitor keystone.

  1. Empty two flask slots to gain 8 charges every 5 seconds.
  2. Equip two Quicksilver Flasks with “Increased Effect” and “Gains no Charges during Effect” prefixes.
  3. Rotate between the two flasks; one provides the speed boost while the other recharges in the empty slots.

Level 18 Damage Spike: Tinctures

At level 18, equip a Tincture to boost damage significantly against bosses.

  • Look for “Increased Elemental Damage with Melee Weapons” and “Increased Damage against enemies on Low Life.”
  • This is particularly effective for rare enemies and act bosses that cannot be one-shot.

Level 24 Elemental Hit Swap

At level 24, swap from Spectral Throw to Elemental Hit. This requires removing the Blackheart rings, as Elemental Hit cannot deal chaos damage. Replace one ring with Le Hoop of All for all-around stats and resistances.

Gem Links (Level 24):

Elemental Hit - Trinity Support - Elemental Damage with Attacks - Faster Attacks

Gem Links (Level 31–38): Incorporate Inspiration (Level 31) and Multistrike (Level 38) for maximum DPS.

Elemental Hit - Trinity - Elemental Damage with Attacks - Inspiration - Multistrike - Ruthless

Weapons and Movement

  • Level 1-33: Use Last Resort claws or Nailed Fists.
  • Level 34: Swap to dual Mortem Morsu claws. These provide high critical strike chance and speed but require 61 Intelligence.
  • Movement Skills: Use Whirling Blades paired with Frostblink.
  • Utility: Socket Assassin’s Mark with Mark on Hit in a weapon to automate damage debuffs on rare enemies.

Mid-Game Optimization (Level 35–50)

  1. Jewels: At level 35, many high-flat-damage Abyss Jewels become available on the market. Prioritize flat fire, cold, and lightning damage to attacks.
  2. The Utmost: At level 40, an Atmos (The Utmost) amulet with high attack and cast speed (35%+) can be a cheap and powerful upgrade.
  3. Death Rush: Use this ring starting at level 30 for the Adrenaline buff on kill.
  4. Watcher’s Eye: Seek a version with “-# to Total Mana Cost of Non-Channeled Skills” while affected by Clarity to solve all mana issues.
  5. Omen of Brilliance: Use these around level 50 if you fall behind the zone level; they provide an experience boost for 60 seconds after leveling up.

Auras and Passive Tree

Recommended Auras:

  • Purity of Elements: For easy resistance capping and ailment immunity.
  • Clarity: Keep this at a low level to trigger Watcher’s Eye effects.
  • Precision: For accuracy and crit chance.
  • Grace: Only if using a Watcher’s Eye that grants movement speed while affected by Grace.

Passive Tree Priorities:

  1. Additional Strike Target: Reach the “Non-Vaal Strike Skills target 1 additional nearby enemy” mastery as fast as possible.
  2. The Traitor: Path to the jewel socket required for the Brutal Restraint setup.
  3. Instant Leech: This is vital for survival since the unique-heavy gear setup results in a lower life pool.

Class Compatibility

This setup is most efficient for Ranger, Shadow, and Duelist due to their proximity to claw and projectile nodes. Witch and Marauder are viable but require more travel points. Templar is the most difficult to optimize with this specific pathing but remains functional.
