POE 2 Teasers Day 14 - Two Huge Community Tool Improvements - POB and POE Ninja - Path of Exile 2

Summary

  • Path of Building 2 will be updated to support the new official Build Editor/Planner feature before the launch of the 0.5.0 expansion.
  • poe.ninja has expanded its economic tracking to include unique items by monitoring transactions from the in-game currency market (Anje).
  • Build tracking on poe.ninja now provides detailed weapon and ascendancy statistics for the Path of Exile 2 trade league.

Path of Building 2 and the Official Build Planner

Grinding Gear Games released a video regarding the new Build Planner. While much of the information was previously known, the most substantial update is that Path of Building 2 will be updated before the league starts.

This community tool will fully integrate with the new build planner system from day one. This ensures that users will not be stuck using outdated systems during the initial weeks of the expansion, allowing for a seamless transition between the official planner and the community’s primary theory-crafting software.

poe.ninja Economic and Build Tracking Updates

poe.ninja has significantly increased its functionality for Path of Exile 2, moving closer to the level of detail available for the original game.

Build and Passive Tree Analysis

Users can now filter specific leagues, such as Fate of the Vaal, to analyze class and weapon trends. For example, Titan builds currently represent approximately 6% of the league. A breakdown of weapon usage for Titans shows:

  1. Mace and Shield: 18%
  2. Quarterstaff: 18%
  3. Talisman: 15%
  4. Two-handed Mace with Shield (via specific Keystone): 11%
  5. Other: Small percentages for Wand/Scepter and Staff.

Economic Tracking of Unique Items

The website has expanded its economy section beyond currency trade ratios. By tracking transactions facilitated by Anje in the in-game currency market, the site now lists prices for:

  • Unique Weapons: Examples include Sacred Flame, Guiding Palm of the Heart, and Lioneye’s Glare.
  • Unique Armours: High-value items like Temporalis, Hateforge, and Atziri’s Splendour are tracked, often with breakdowns for different item versions.
  • Unique Accessories: Includes high-end items such as Headhunter, Original Sin, and Astramentis.
  • High-Value Boss Drops: Extremely rare items like Bursting Decay and Gnashing Sash are currently tracking at very high price points.
  • Unique Precursor Tablets: These are categorized on the site under the “Unique Maps” section.
