Phrecia Whisperer KBoC to MFA Update

Summary

  • Transitioning Builds: After roughly 6 days of playtime, the build is transitioning from Kinetic Blast of Clustering (KBoC) to Manaforged Arrows (MFA).
  • Performance: The KBoC build successfully cleared T17 content and achieved approximately 60 million single-target DPS.
  • Key Progression Tech: Utilization of specific “grafts” (such as the hand-summoning graft for single-target and cast speed grafts) significantly improved early progression and mobility.
  • Crafting Strategy: Emphasized cost-effective self-crafting, specifically using Redeemer influence and Sorrow Essences for rings, and Zeal Essences for post-Indigon wands.

Gameplay and Movement

  • Movement Skill: The build utilizes Frostblink of Wintry Blast for mobility. This feels superior to Shield Charge when paired with a cast speed graft (providing 110% increased cast speed at 2.2k dexterity).
  • Build Viability: The KBoC build is strong for clearing and mapping, though it requires Indigon for scaling. Damage early on can be challenging due to the Phrecia event’s gauntlet-style difficulty.

Single-Target Optimization

  • “Cheat Code” Craft: To overcome early-game single-target struggles, acquire a hand-summoning Ool graft. These can provide 5–10 million damage every 10 seconds, which effectively “fixes” single-target DPS during early bossing (e.g., Exarch, Eater, Maven, Guardians).
  • Ramp Time: Because the build relies on Indigon, there is a necessary ramp-up time for damage.

Defensive Choices

  • Shield vs. Dual Wands: While dual-wanding provides significantly higher damage, a shield is recommended for general T17 mapping and destructive play during the Phrecia event. This configuration offers high survivability with 81% evasion, 43% block, and 62% spell block.

Crafting Recommendations

  • Helical Rings: Avoid fracturing bases. Instead, Redeemer slam the base first and then spam Sorrow Essences. This approach is significantly more cost-effective given current essence prices.
  • Rare Wands (Post-Indigon):
    1. Obtain a fractured mana base.
    2. Spam Zeal Essences until hitting hybrid mana and spell damage with an open prefix.
    3. Use the crafting bench to add “Spell Damage Hybrid with Non-Chaos as Extra Chaos.” The extra chaos damage helps prevent bricking boss fights that feature life-to-energy shield regeneration mechanics.

Tree and Progression

  • Split Personality: The updated tree utilizes a Split Personality jewel pathing, achieving high flat dexterity and mana gains (e.g., 81/81, which is highly efficient).
