Last Epoch Season 4 Universal Loot Filter
Summary
- Comprehensive Coverage: Updated for Season 4 with 158 rules covering level 1 to level 100 and high corruption farming.
- Visual Instructions: Uses non-active “Blue Rules” as text headers and dividers within the filter to provide in-game instructions.
- Rule Hierarchy: Follows a bottom-up logic where rules at the top of the list supersede those below.
- Color-Coded Actions:
- Orange: Items to be destroyed with a Rune of Shattering for shards.
- Pink: “Dire Need” items for high-priority shards using a Rune of Removal.
- Green: Base items intended for a Rune of Ascension (Uniques) or Rune of Havoc crafting.
- Gold Beam: Best-in-Slot (BIS) Exalted items for slamming into Legendaries.
- Tier Management: Includes automatic level-based toggles to hide lower-tier items (T6) as the character progresses toward T7 end-game gear.
Filter Logic and Organization
The filter is designed to be the only one needed for any character. Because Last Epoch lacks built-in folders or dividers, specific “Blue Rules” function as headers. These rules are unchecked and contain no filter criteria; they exist solely to provide instructions for the rules immediately following them.
To configure the filter:
- Start at the bottom.
- Scroll up until a blue instruction rule appears.
- Follow the text in the rule to toggle the specific classes or item types relevant to the current build.
Campaign and Early Game Setup
Initial rules manage loot during the leveling process.
- Class Filtering: Locate the “Campaign Rules” section and uncheck any classes not currently being played (Acolyte, Mage, Primalist, Rogue, Sentinel).
- Early Weapons: Uncheck weapon subtypes and off-hands (Shields, Catalysts, Quivers) that the build does not use.
- BIS Subtypes: Reference a build guide (such as those on Maxroll) to identify specific weapon bases (e.g., a Kris for Rogues) and add them to the subtype rules.
Idol Configuration
The idol section requires manual selection of affixes based on build requirements.
- Check the build guide for required idol sizes (1x3, 3x1, 1x1).
- Toggle the rules for the specific sizes needed for the class.
- Add the specific required affixes to these rules.
- Efficiency Tip: By default, these rules require both affixes to match. For early game gearing, change the requirement to “Match 1” affix to see more potential upgrades.
Shards and Crafting (Orange, Pink, and Green)
Specialized rules help build a crafting material bank.
- Shattering (Orange): These rules highlight items with useful offensive or defensive affixes. Use a Rune of Shattering on these. Uncheck classes not in use to reduce clutter. Disable these rules once a sufficient shard bank is established.
- Dire Needs (Pink): Use this for extremely rare or currently missing shards (e.g., Hybrid Health or specific Skill levels). Use a Rune of Removal on pink items to maximize the chance of getting the specific shard.
- Ascension (Green): Highlights specific bases to be turned into Uniques via a Rune of Ascension.
- Note for Circle of Fortune (CoF): The rule is set to look for CoF-aligned items to save currency.
- Note for Merchant’s Guild: Delete the “Circle of Fortune” requirement within this rule, or it will not function for traded items.
Exalted and End-Game Filtering
As the character reaches higher levels, the filter becomes more strict.
- Safety Guard (Blue): Shows all Exalted and Corrupted items until level 60. This rule automatically disables at level 60 to prevent screen clutter in the end-game.
- T6 vs. T7 Exalts:
- T6 Rules: Be very picky with affixes. These rules are set to disable at level 85.
- T7 Rules: Be more lenient. T7 affixes are rare enough that most should be seen, especially for potential “Havoc” crafting.
- Rune of Havoc Strategy: The filter highlights items with a T7 affix and a desirable secondary affix. Use a Rune of Havoc to attempt to swap the T7 tier onto the desirable affix. This is a primary method for creating high-value items for personal use or the Merchant’s Guild.
Uniques and Legendaries
The top of the filter manages the rarest drops.
- Global Rarity: Resources and the rarest Uniques (e.g., Red Ring of Atlaria, Omnis) are placed at the very top. They will always show regardless of class filters.
- Legendary Potential (LP):
- 0LP/Low Weaver’s Will: Filtered for specific build needs.
- 1LP: Shows most items.
- 2LP+: High visibility with unique colors and sounds.
- Legendaries: All Legendary items are shown by default.
