Summary

  • Core Synergy: Combines Kalguuran ore nodes with Delve sulfite nodes (converted to ore via Atlas passives) and Tormented Spirits for gold scaling.
  • Time Saving: Utilizes specific scarabs to drop pre-smelted bars, bypassing the need for manual mining and smelting wait times in Kingsmarch.

Strategy Overview and Map Setup

The goal is to maximize Kingsmarch ore nodes and Delve nodes, as the latter directly convert into ore. This strategy is best executed on corrupted eight-mod maps or delirious eight-mod maps to maximize quantity and pack size, as ore values scale with map quantity.

  1. Map Choice: Mesa is the preferred layout for its ease of boss rushing and synergy with Memory Vaults (bottom-left corner of the Atlas).
  2. Tier Requirements: While Tier 16.5 maps offer higher currency modifiers, they are not mandatory for ore scaling. Standard Tier 16 maps are sufficient.
  3. Mirage Interaction: Ore nodes inside a Mirage may convert into a “thaumaturgic hourglass.” These spawn enemies that drop 60,000–130,000 thaumaturgic dust but do not provide ore.
  4. Mirage Wishes:
    • Prioritize the 4% chance to release a Golden Volatile for massive gold gains.
    • Redon (Black Barria boss) and Echoing/Divine shrines are secondary high-value options.
  5. Astrelobes: Use Templar Astrelobes to progress through bonuses by killing the map boss, as a specific Kingsmarch Astrelobe does not currently exist in the game.

Scarab Selection

The scarab setup is designed to maximize the number of nodes and automate the smelting process.

  1. 2x Kalguuran Scarabs: Adds two additional ore deposits each.
  2. Guarded Riches Scarab: Makes all monsters at ore deposits Magic, significantly increasing gold drops and sustain.
  3. Scarab of Refinement: Converts all ore dropped in the map directly into smelted bars. This saves massive amounts of gold and time by bypassing the Kingsmarch mining/smelting queue.
  4. Kalguuran Scarab of Enriching: Monsters at ore deposits gain 15% increased difficulty and reward for each deposit already completed in the area.

[!IMPORTANT] Because of the Scarab of Enriching, always save Verisium nodes for the end of the map. Verisium bars have the highest shipment value (90 vs. 16 for Crimson Iron), and hitting them last maximizes the multiplicative bonus from the scarab.

Atlas Passives

The tree focuses on Delve/Settlers synergy and map effect.

  • Refiner’s Bargain: Sulfite found in maps is granted as random ore instead at 10% of the value. This typically yields 1,000–2,000 bars per sulfite node.
  • Packed with Energy: Provides movement speed, damage, and maximum elemental resistances based on sulfite collected.
  • Price of Progress & Speaker of the Dead: Spawns Tormented Spirits from sulfite nodes. With Speaker of the Dead, these spirits buff the player (Ghostbusting), further increasing loot and gold.
  • Settlers Notables:
    • Take all small passives for increased ore.
    • Lost in Transit: Enhances random purple lost shipments, which can contain tattoos and runes.
    • Verisium & Bismuth Notables: Increase the frequency and impact of these high-value nodes.
    • Crimson Infusion: Adds extra growths to Crimson Iron. If your damage is too high and kills them instantly, consider unallocating this or waiting a few seconds for monsters to spawn before clearing.

Kingsmarch and Shipment Management

The strategy provides enough gold to sustain max-level mappers and high-frequency shipments indefinitely.

  1. Mappers: Feed mappers a steady diet of the Tier 16 maps generated by this strategy. High-level mappers (level 5) consistently return Divines and high-value currency.
  2. Disenchanting: To sustain the thaumaturgic dust required for 50M shipments, disenchant Tier 0 uniques (e.g., Voltaxic Rift). One batch of T0 uniques can provide ~25 million dust.
  3. Port Strategy:
    • Pondium: Best for Rune Graphs (specifically Rune Graph of the Warp).
    • Moti Aro: Best for Intelligence-based tattoos.
    • Use gold to reroll port favored resources to match your overabundant metal bars.
  4. Shipment Values:
    • The 50M Jackpot: 25 million value in bars and 25 million value in dust.
    • Quotas: Fulfilling specific port quotas is a valid alternative for more frequent, smaller rewards.
    • Risk: Always aim for 0% risk. High-level shippers are essential to ensure you do not lose dozens of maps’ worth of farmed bars.
