Hollow Form Beyblade - Midgame (Day 3 Overview)
Summary
- Build Progression: The build has transitioned into a Chaos Inoculation setup, focusing on high energy shield and evasion.
- Key Mechanics: Gameplay revolves around “Hollow Form,” which activates the “Whirling Assault” skill. This is complemented by a dodge-roll and sprint rotation.
- Defense: Shifted to a high-evasion strategy (near 30,000) utilizing Ghost Dance instead of Wind Dancer. Blasphemy Temporal Chains is now included for better mapping control.
- Offense: Physical-based damage remains the primary focus. A Mageblood belt is used for speed and defense but is not mandatory.
- Support & Utilities: Significant emphasis on managing spirit for reservations, maintaining wolf summons, and proper gem socketing on both weapon sets to ensure consistency during weapon swaps.
Midgame Overview and Playstyle
The character now operates as a Chaos Inoculation (CI) build. While a Mageblood belt is currently equipped for speed and evasion bonuses, it is not required; skipping it allows for more gear flexibility and damage optimization.
Mapping involves tapping Hollow Form to trigger Whirling Assault, followed by a dodge roll and sprint. For single-target encounters, use the following rotation:
- Ensure buffs are active.
- Press E for Reputation to gain an extra buff.
- Pounce on the boss to apply Predator’s Mark.
- Engage with Heavy Swing.
Gem Setup
All gems must be socketed on Weapon Set 1 and Weapon Set 2 to prevent the loss of summon buffs upon swapping.
- Hollow Form & Main Skills: Use with Heightened Charges (for extra clones) and Verona’s Siege (or Magnified Area if lacking damage).
- Utility & Application:
- Blind: Included in the main set via Hollow Focus for auto-blinding.
- Living Lightning: Maintains active allies for Pounce mechanics.
- Pounce: Provides Predator’s Mark, granting up to 45% (potentially 60%) increased damage taken by enemies.
- Mark for Death: Used for armor breaking.
- Killing Palm: Useful for charge generation before boss spawns to eliminate ramp-up time.
- Runic Ward: Use Reputation for a buff that forces incoming hits to be treated as if parried by a buckler, providing both defensive utility and a 50% increased damage taken debuff on monsters. Do not socket Runic Ward in the helmet or body armor, as it removes global defenses.
Gearing
- Locotal Caress: Mandatory; if rolls are poor, use Runic Ward to reroll the item.
- Staff: The most critical rare slot. Prioritize high DPS and critical hit chance (>10%). Crafting involves using Greater Orbs to hit high increased physical damage, followed by an Essence of Abrasion for flat physical, and finishing with Greater Exalt Slam via Omen of Exaltation.
- Jewelry: Focus on rarity, resistances to reach caps, and spirit (amulet) to support Blasphemy reservations.
- Ascendancy Runes: Use these as “glue” for the build to fix holes in stats, such as recovery or missing resistances.
FAQ & Troubleshooting
- Gem Sockets: Additional gem sockets are granted automatically as you level up, regardless of whether the skill comes from an item or the passive tree.
- Wolf Summons: If wolves disappear, ensure the Pounce skill is socketed on both weapon sets.
- Game Crashes:
- Input Crashes: Often caused by mouse and keyboard usage. Adjust “Cursor Tracking” settings in the input menu.
- CPU Crashes: Whirling Assault is currently poorly optimized. Players are encouraged to send crash logs to GGG to help developers identify and fix the issue.
- Mana Issues: Use the Well of Power notable on the passive tree or a standard Mana Flask. Avoid Lavianga’s as it is inefficient for this build.
