Lunaria League Mechanic Explained
The SS12 mechanic features a Harp that you customize with strings to enhance map encounters.
- String Configuration: Currently utilizing double radius, additional radius, and +1 max charge.
- Moon Toggle:
- Half Moon: Easier monsters, less loot.
- Full Moon: Harder monsters, significantly more loot (recommended for juiced characters).
- Statue Activation: Maps contain mini-statues. Activating them triggers a combat event. Loot scales based on the “combo” count, which is determined by how many statues fall within your harp’s radius ring upon activation.
- Combo Targets: Aim for 10–12 combos for optimal rewards. This is why stacking Max Radius on the harp is essential.
Map Juicing and Atlas Strategy
The Lunaria mechanic scales directly with map Quantity (Quant).
- Map Investment: Always run 100% Quant affixes. Farming Tier 8-1 or 8-2 in Profound difficulty is highly profitable due to the bonus Quant.
- Compass Setup:
- Profound Flourishing Probe.
- Purple Lunari Stone.
- War Compass.
- Rare Quant/Normal Quant Compasses.
- Atlas Tree: Prioritize all Quant nodes and Compass nodes. If you do not have the Dora compass pet, you can pivot into Cube, Dark Surge, or Cardjack, as Lunaria is a baseline map mechanic that does not require specific Atlas points.
Optimal Pet Swapping
To maximize efficiency, maintain three distinct pet loadouts:
- Default: Generic Lunaria pets (Legendary/Purple/Blue) for general gameplay.
- Strumming: High Quant pets (Legendary Lunaria, Dora, or Chalk) to be active when triggering the harp.
- Exit/Loot: FE (Flame Elementium) drop pets (Purple Lunaria, Chalk, Pirate, or Dora) for finishing the map.
Chromatic Shot Build Mechanics
Chromatic Shot is a projectile spell skill that scales with almost every attribute and element.
- Autocasting: Linked to the Tangle support. Placing a Tangle allows the skill to automatically target and fire at enemies within range without manual input.
- Scaling Tags: The skill possesses Fire, Cold, Lightning, Strength, Intelligence, and Dexterity tags. This makes it incredibly easy to gear for early Tier 8 content.
- Minions (Spectors): New to this patch, these provide passive buffs.
- Searing Crush: Applies 50% more damage taken to enemies.
- Utility: Provides increased move speed and projectile speed.
Skills and Auras
- Active Skills:
- Haunted Abomination: Paired with Grudge to apply paralysis (21% more damage taken).
- Shadow Dash: Primary mobility.
- Suger’s Origin: Damage buff.
- Auras:
- Precise Projectiles and Domain Expansion.
- Steadfast: For armor scaling.
- Swiftness: For movement speed (swap to Energy Fortress for harder/Deep Space content).
Gear Breakdown
- Weapon: Tenacity stacking wand (+3 Tenacity).
- Belt: Eternity (Headhunter equivalent). Essential for high-speed mapping.
- Boots: Longwalkers. Enables semi-aura stacking and provides a free 50% mana reservation aura.
- Gloves: Elemental penetration and +2 spell skill levels.
- Chest: Amalgam Embrace or Rainbow (for ailment immunity and damage reduction).
- Rings/Amulet: Focused on Tenacity blessing stacks and cast speed.
- Tangle Supplement: Pale Aggression for +1 Tangle charge.
Talent Trees and Pact Tree
- Pact Tree: Uses dual Kismets for negative-to-positive dream conversion. Wraith is used to convert 25% of non-erosion damage to erosion; because Chromatic Shot converts to a single element, this functions as a flat 25% more damage multiplier.
- Goddess of Knowledge: Focus on Precursory Vibe and Acquaintance.
- Inverse Reflected Image: Used to replicate +1 skill levels for Fire, Lightning, and Cold. This results in a massive +6 total skill level boost.
- Magister: Utilizes the Spell Ripple core talent via a Prism that prevents it from replacing the middle talent. This allows for both “Bunch” (damage per Focus blessing) and the 150% true damage proc from Spell Ripple.
Divinity Slates and Hero Memories
- Hero Memories:
- Place to Oracle: Provides 5% more damage per blessing stack (effectively 75% more damage at 15 stacks).
- Attribute conversion (Strength to Dexterity) for cheap early scaling.
- Notable Slates:
- Dirty Tricks: 12% more damage per elemental ailment (scales massively with Chromatic Shot).
- ES Recovery: Immediately starts Energy Shield recharge when generating a Tangle.
- Knockback Scaling: 120% of knockback distance bonus applied to damage.
- Pierce: Necessary for clear speed if not using the Marksman tree.
Final Character Stats
- Mobility: ~216% Movement Speed.
- Effective Health: ~9.5k to 10k Energy Shield.
- Mitigation: ~24k Armor (47% Physical mitigation).
- Resistances: Near cap for Elemental and Non-Erosion.
